On 27th Feb, evening I left my home.My brother help to board proper bus for Sealdaha.I had booked ticket on Kanchankanya Exp which starts from Sealdaha.I reached Sealdaha very easily. It was only 7:00pm.The train timing was 8.30pm. I had waited some time & then came to know the train was ready & we can board on train from platform no:9
It was cool journey.I reached NJP approx 7am on 28th Feb. After reaching NJP, I called my Friend Wrick. He told me to visit near by tea stall(Arti Juice Center) where he already told the owner, to help me to book a seat in Jeep to go to Gangtok.
I got the 2nd row window seat in jeep(opposite to driver end). Our Jeep journey was started at about 10am. the Jeep fare was 300/- per head from NJP to Gangtok.
The road journey was awesome.though I have visited a lot of hill station, but the beauty was awesome.In North India hill station, the hills are rough terrain, less greenery.But here all the greens are green.you can imagine, that hills are made by trees instead of rocks...the top trees are tallest than the height of the hills.
I read about 'Sevak road' so many times in Bengali novel....it was quite thrilling to go on that road....After 2& half hours,we took 30mints break. then again start our journey....we crossed 'Melli','Rangpo','singthom'... these names are sounds quite different.At about 2pm I reached Gangtok Deorali bazar jeep stand. I already informed Wrick, so he cam at the stand & asked me to follow him.We took another share taxi, to reach main Gangtok...near MG road.
We first visited his office which is near MG road (Near old Children Park).
He told me to keep the luggage in his office & just troll to MG road. Don't think I was tired...actually the excitement push the extra energy. We stroll some time on MG Road.At the starting point of the Road there was a black statue of Mahatma Gandhi. there were number of seat placed two side of the road. Lots of shops are two sided of the roads.
Approx 4pm, he suggested to go to his room. Actually, his room is approx 3-4 Km far from MG Road, but it is not plain land....in hilly area it is quite tough to go down & came up.Wrick already told me that if we once go to home, it was not easy to come again on MG Road area.So troll as mush as you want before go to the home.
Though in mind, I took his word lightly, but when we started to go to his house, WOOO......the road is 45 degree angel...so go down is easy...but not enough confidence to come again by foot. I had experienced the hilly slopes & ladder type path to reach his home.
Anyway, when i reached his home, I never imgined to spend night such a sweet home.which is hanging on hills.Whenever I saw such house, usual view when you pass away the hilly road, it looks awesome....always thought to live such a home or spend entire retired life there.....Thanks God to give me the chance to feel such experence.
Tomorrow Our plan to visit Gangtok Sight Seen
